EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- Recently North American Aerospace Defense Command F-16 Fighting Falcon’s escorted a U.S. Strategic Command B-52 Stratofortress across Alaska during Operation POLAR VORTEX to rapidly deploy forces to the Arctic in support of First Air Force and U.S. Northern Command’s homeland defense mission.
