  • Ellsworth unites with ANG for Golden Coyote

    The 28th Medical Readiness Squadron trained alongside the South Dakota Army National Guard during a segment of exercise Golden Coyote conducted June 16 on Ellsworth Air Force Base.   • Youth programs gear up for summer

    Youth centers across the Air Force and Space Force are reopening doors to youth and teens to help keep them active and engaged during the summer months. With COVID-19 restrictions easing, the Air Force Services Center has rolled out a suite of youth center programs. While offerings will vary by installation, on-site specialty camps may include archery, culinary skills, non-traditional sports, paintball, performing arts, science and soccer.

    The 28th Maintenance Group Additive Manufacturing Flight conducted its first restoration of an active flying aircraft in May and repaired an over wing faring slip joint.
  • DLA conducts spill prevention exercise at Kirtland AFB

    The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) partnered with Kirtland’s environmental professionals to host its annual spill prevention exercise. This training is open to all base personnel that are either a part of a spill response team or handle spills reports, petroleum, oils, and lubricants on a regular basis. The training covered operation and maintenance of equipment; discharge procedure protocols; applicable pollution control laws; rules and regulations; general facility operations; spill prevention plan and ended with a Bulk Fuels Facility (BFF) walk through and spill demonstration.
