582nd Helicopter Group

The 582nd Helicopter Group provides operations, maintenance, standardization evaluation, flight safety and aircrew flight equipment oversight for three helicopter squadrons and one support squadron at the 90th, 91st and 341st Missile Wings. The group is headquartered at F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming.

Enables key airborne security capability and airlift for Twentieth Air Force operations supporting nuclear security missions for 450 intercontinental ballistic missile sites. Provides rescue operations in support of JCS National SAR and Response Plans.

582nd Operations Support Squadron

The 582nd Operations Support Squadron provides unparalleled operations support to Air Force Global Strike Command's helicopter group and three premier helicopter squadrons to include training, tactics, current operations, SERE, AFE, Airfield Management and nuclear security tactics training operations at the Wyoming Army National Guard's Camp Guernsey Joint Training Center, Wyoming.

 

37th Helicopter Squadron

The 37th Helicopter Squadron provides helicopter security response for the 90th Missile Wing located at F.E. Warren Air Force Base. The squadron supports emergency war order taskings, by transporting tactical response force teams in support of launch facility denial and recapture and convoy operations. The squadron also conducts priority passenger and cargo airlift, as well as executes search and rescue and medical evacuation operations in support of JCS National SAR and Response Plans for federal, state and local agencies.

  37th HS helicopters typically fly from ground level to 2,000 feet above ground level.

The 40th Helicopter Squadron provides helicopter security response for the 341st Missile Wing located at Malmstrom Air Force Base. The squadron supports emergency war order taskings, by transporting tactical response force teams in support of launch facility denial and recapture and convoy operations. The squadron also conducts priority passenger and cargo airlift as well as executes search and rescue and medical evacuation operations in support of JCS National SAR and Response Plans for federal, state and local agencies.

40th HS helicopters typically fly from ground level to 2,000 feet above ground level. Operations may require flight up to 15,000 feet above mean sea level.
