Twentieth Air Force

Twentieth Air Force is one of two active-duty Numbered Air Forces in Air Force Global Strike Command with headquarters at F. E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming, in the Cheyenne community.  Twentieth Air Force is responsible operating, maintaining, securing, and supporting the Nation's three intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) wings, one nuclear operations support wing and one geographically separated unit (GSU).

Twentieth Air Force provides on-alert, combat ready ICBMs to the President.

F.E. Warren AFB

90th Missile Wing

The Striker Airmen of the "Mighty Ninety" defend the United States by providing strategic nuclear deterrence by operating, maintaining, securing and supporting 150 Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles, which stand on alert ready to launch at the direction of the President of the United States.

 

582nd Helicopter Group

The 582nd Helicopter Group provides operations, maintenance, standardization evaluation, flight safety and aircrew flight equipment oversight for three helicopter squadrons and one support squadron at the 90th, 91st and 341st Missile Wings.

 

Kirtland AFB

377th Air Base Wing

As the host organization at Kirtland AFB, the mission of the 377th Air Base Wing is to execute nuclear logistics, readiness, and support operations for American airpower. Kirtland AFB is a center for research, development and testing of non-conventional weapons, space and missile technology, laser warfare, and much more. The missions of Kirtland AFB fall into four major categories: research, development and testing; readiness and training; munitions maintenance; and support to base operations for more than 100 associate units.

 

 

Malmstrom AFB

341st Missile Wing

Defends the United States by providing strategic nuclear deterrence by operating, maintaining, securing and supporting Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles, which stand on alert ready to launch at the direction of the President of the United States. Known as "Wing One," the 341st MW has continuously performed this mission since 1962 - remaining America's "Ace in the Hole."

91st Missile Wing

The "Rough Riders" of North Dakota defend the United States by providing strategic nuclear deterrence by operating, maintaining, securing and supporting Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles, which stand on alert ready to launch at the direction of the President of the United States.
