    B-2s land at Lajes Field to join BTF mission

    Airmen from the 509th BW will conduct a hot-pit refuel of the B-2s and a crew swap with engines running before the aircraft return to the sky to continue the mission.

    Plant 42 gears up “Spirit of Pennsylvania” for next mission

    The “Spirit of Pennsylvania” B-2 stealth bomber will soon call Edwards Air Force Base, California, its new home, as it becomes the 412th Test Wing’s test platform for B-2 flight testing.

    509th MXS propulsion flight Airmen boost readiness to 18-year high

    The 509th Maintenance Squadron Propulsion Flight has achieved the highest engine readiness rate across the active-duty Air Force. 40 jet engine mechanics operate out of a repair center on base, ensuring the readiness of Whiteman Air Force Base’s 44 billion dollar fleet of B-2 Spirits.
