  • Marking 30 years; B-1B Lancer performs hot pit refuel at Grand Forks AFB

    The 28th BW collaborated with the 319th RS to perform a hot-pit refueling operation at Grand Forks AFB Oct. 1. Grand Forks AFB is the proposed temporary relocation of Ellsworth’s B-1 Lancer fleet during a runway construction project in preparation for the future arrival of the B-21 Raider.

  • Raider Reach exercise tests Ellsworth’s combat readiness

  • Air Force announces second and third B-21 Raider bases

    The SECAF has approved the 2nd & 3rd basing locations for the B-21 Raider, the Air Force’s newest bomber. Those bases are Whiteman AFB, Mo., & Dyess AFB, Texas, in that order. Ellsworth AFB, S.D., was previously selected as the 1st base to receive the B-21.
