    2019 BTF comes to an end

    More than 450 personnel and six B-52 Stratofortresses from Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, returned home following a short-term deployment to RAF Fairford, England, in support of U.S. Strategic Command’s Bomber Task Force in Europe, April 11, 2019. The BTF deployment enabled theater integration and training with joint partners, allied nations and other U.S. Air Force units, to further enhance bomber interoperability in the theater.

    Minot B-52s, Airmen deploy to RAF Fairford

    RAF FAIRFORD, England - Approximately 300 Airmen and four B-52H Stratofortress aircraft assigned to the 5th Bomb Wing at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, are deployed to RAF Fairford, England, to conduct theater integration and flying training.

    Dog tags make final journey home to WWII veteran

    A gathering of friends, family and Mighty Eighth Airmen made way as the guest of honor slowly approached the front of the stage. Raymond Odom, a 93-year-old World War II veteran, sat patiently in a large chair on stage as he waited for the unveiling of a memento he lost while serving in the U.S. Army Air Forces in England more than 70 years ago.
