A U.S. Airman assigned to the 7th Civil Engineer Squadron removes ice from the runway during Winter Storm Fern at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, Jan. 25, 2026. The storm struck on the second day of the 7th Bomb Wing’s Combat Readiness Exercise, depositing approximately three-quarters of an inch of ice and two inches of snow across the installation.
