Then Lt. Col. Bridget McNamara, who was the 21st Student Squadron Commander, stands in front of a B-25 Mitchell bomber at Air University on Maxwell AFB, Ala. McNamara was part of the 34th Bomb Squadron, which was the lead squadron for the Doolittle Raid. She accredited the squadron as a key part of her bomber Airmen development.
