Senior Airman Jenna Canada, 377th Security Forces Squadron K-9 handler, reunites with her retired Military Working Dog, Akim, in Albuquerque, N.M., July 12, 2022. Akim was paired with Canada in 2020 where they served together in South Korea before Canada received a new assignment at Kirtland Air Force Base. After moving, Canada waited eight long months to be reunited with her retired MWD, Akim. Akim served 10 human years – or 70 dog years – in the U.S. Air Force providing narcotic detection and security patrols overseas. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Karissa Dick.)
