B-1 Part of U.S., UK flyover commemorating 8th AF 80th anniversary

First Lt. Meaghan Dowd, 34th Bomb Squadron B-1B aviator, is welcomed home by fellow aircrew members upon her return from a 22.5-hour non-stop Bomber Task Force mission to the U.S. European Command theater of operations at Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D., Feb. 1, 2022. As part of the mission, B-1B aircrews teamed up with other aircraft to conduct a flyover of Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Eighth Air Force.
