AFGSC commander visits Ellsworth
Gen. Tim Ray, the Air Force Global Strike Command commander, and his wife, Rhonda, learn about a new way to repair planes via cold spray during a tour of the 28th Maintenance Squadron Metals Technology and Additive Manufacturing Flight facility on Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D., May 26, 2021. The 28th Bomb Wing was the first to establish an Air Force field level additive manufacturing flight, which utilizes new technologies that are cost effective and can restore aging aircraft components.
