AF meets New START Treaty requirements
Ninetieth Missile Maintenance Squadron maintainers guide the ground strap on a missile in the 90th Missile Wing missile complex, June 6, 2017. The maintainers do this to ensure the straps don’t get caught on anything as the missile is raised. The missile was removed to comply with the New START Treaty agreement with Russia. The Air Force met their NST requirements when the 50th Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile was removed from a silo in the 90th MW missile complex.
