U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Alicia “Alice” Contreras, 7th Bomb Wing paralegal, with her family upon her basic military training graduation July 19, 2015, at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. Contreras joined the U.S. Air Force with the promise that she would be able to gain U.S. citizenship. After being assigned to Dyess Air Force Base Oct. 15, 2015, she was able to start the process and finally took the oath of citizenship Feb. 7, 2017. (Courtesy photo)
