AFGSC hosts deterrence symposium to reinvigorate discussion, enterprise

Air Force Global Strike Command hosted its inaugural Deterrence Symposium Thursday, March 24 at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. The symposium featured a panel of four retired general officers who spoke to the importance of the command’s deterrence mission and answered questions from the audience. (From left to right) Gen. Gregory S. Martin, former U.S. Air Force Materiel Command commander; Gen. Larry D. Welch, former Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force and served as the commander for Strategic Air Command from 1985-86; Gen. William M.
