Maj. Gen. Cotton takes command of 20th Air Force
Gen. Robin Rand, Air Force Global Strike Command commander, presents the 20th Air Force guidon to Maj. Gen. Anthony J. Cotton as Cotton takes command of the numbered air force responsible for the nation's three intercontinental ballistic missile wings and one nuclear operations support wing on F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Nov. 16, 2015. Cotton also took command of Task Force 214 from Adm. Cecil D. Haney, U.S. Strategic Command commander, during the same ceremony. Twentieth Air Force prepares the nation's ICBM forces to execute safe, secure and effective nuclear strike operations and supports worldwide combatant commander requirements.
