Louisiana Senate honors 2nd Bomb Wing
Louisiana State Senator Barrow Peacock presents Col. Kristin Goodwin, 2nd Bomb Wing commander, and 2nd BW leadership with a resolution at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., July 13, 2015. The resolution, written by Peacock, congratulates the 2nd BW for earning the 2014 Brigadier General Frederick W. Castle Award as Air Force Global Strike Command's best bomb wing of the year. Throughout 2014, 2nd BW reformed processes which earned Air Force and Department of Defense accolades punctuated by the highest possible ratings on multiple major inspections. "Whether it is their role in the Nuclear Enterprise, supporting combatant commanders or enhancing the capabilities of their base, the Airmen of Barksdale, in conjunction with community partners, are making a difference every day," the resolution reads.
