The Iron Airman Challenge at Minot Air Force Base, N.D., aims to push Airmen to strive for physical excellence beyond their physical training test requirements. The challenge consists of four categories: push ups, pull ups, sit ups and a two-mile run, each worth a point value depending on the participant’s performance. In order to obtain the title of Iron Airman, a participant must earn a 360 out of 400 points, and complete all four components in one session in 30 minutes or less.
