SecAF presents first Nuclear Deterrence Operations Service Medals
Twenty five Airmen from various careers and representing the active duty, Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve received the first Nuclear Deterrence Service Operations Medals Nov. 5, 2014, in Bossier City, La., during a presentation overseen by Secretary of the Air Force Deborah Lee James. The medal is the first of its kind, specifically designed to recognize the work and dedication of the people who operate, maintain and support the nuclear enterprise.
