Crew chiefs ensure B-52s are good to go

Before a B-52H Stratofortress leaves Minot Air Force Base, N.D., it must pass an inspection by a crew chief assigned to the 5th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. Crew chiefs are responsible for ensuring the aircraft is in perfect working condition. They also perform scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance on B-52s and the equipment installed inside the aircraft. Crew chiefs also execute post-flight examinations to ensure the aircraft remains in ready condition. (U.S. Air Force photos/Senior Airman Brittany Y. Auld)
