Polar Plunge
Tech. Sgt. Cara McQueen, 90th Medical Operations Squadron Public Health, into the icy waters of Sloan Lake, Cheyenne, Wyo., during the second-annual Matthew S. Schwartz Memorial Polar Plunge Jan. 4, 2013. Participants braved 16-degree air and 30-degree water temperatures to raise money for a foundation established to help wounded explosive ordnance technicians and their families. The event is named for an F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyo., 90th Civil Engineer Squadron explosive ordnance technician who was killed in action while deployed to Afghanistan Jan. 5, 2012.
