Long-range Training Flight Exercises Capabilities

A B-52H Stratofortress raises its landing gear over Barksdale Air Force Base, La., April 2, 2014. Two B-52Hs, assigned to 96th Bomb Squadron, and two B-2 Spirit strategic bombers from Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., flew non-stop from their respective home stations to conduct range training operations and low approach training flights within the vicinity of Hawaii, April 2, 2014. The training flights of approximately 20 and 21 hours in duration, ensure U.S. strategic bomber forces maintain a high state of readiness and demonstrate U.S. Strategic Command's ability to provide a bomber force that is flexible, credible, and always ready to respond to a variety of threats and situations around the world.
