Global Strike Challenge Winners
BARKSDALE AIR FOR BASE, La. -- The Security Forces Team from the 509th Bomb Wing at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., was awarded the first-ever Charlie Fire Team Trophy for best security forces firing team during the Global Strike Challenge score posting events at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Nov. 17. The trophy is dedicated to all security police and security forces members who have given their lives in support of the U.S. Air Forces’ nuclear mission. During the score posting events teams had mascots and team-spirit uniforms to show esprit de corps as displayed here by Whiteman AFB’s mascot, “Spirit” (far right).
