Computers for Learning
Jan Hollis (left), Waller Elementary School principal, accepts 11 computers from 2nd Communications Squadron representatives at Waller in Bossier City, La., May 22. The computers were allocated to the school through the Department of Defense's Computers for Learning program, which allows military surplus computers to be donated to schools and nonprofit educational organizations. The program saves both the DOD and schools money as the schools do not have to purchase new equipment and the military does not have to pay to ship, disassemble and recycle the computers.
