Bataan Death March survivors honored by Barksdale leadership

Maj. Gen. Stephen Wilson, 8th Air Force commander, presents Bataan Death March survivor James Bollich with a medal on behalf of the Philippines at Boomtown Casino, Bossier City, La., Sept. 3. Bollich and four other survivors who visited Barksdale Air Force Base, La., endured a grueling 70-plus mile march through the Philippines during World War II in 1942. After the march, many were kept in internment camps for years as prisoners of war before being released. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Benjamin Gonsier)(RELEASED)
