B-52 makes pit stop in Phase Hangar
Maintenance Airmen work on a B-52H Stratofortress inside the Phase Hangar on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Jan. 7. Once a B-52 has accumulated 450 flying hours, it is sent to the Phase Hangar for a 14-day inspection where the aircraft is taken apart and examined for discrepancies. Once all the discrepancies are logged and repaired, the aircraft is returned to the flightline to carry out the mission. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Micaiah Anthony)
