WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. -- The United States Air Force Thunderbirds returned to Cheyenne skies July 23 after being unable to perform an air show during the 2013 Cheyenne Frontier Days and breaking a 59-year streak. The thunderbirds performed their 60th show above Laramie County Community College July 23. The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds perform precision aerial maneuvers that demonstrate the capabilities of the Air Force's high performance aircrafts to people throughout the world. The three main objectives of the Thunderbirds mission are recruitment of new Airmen, providing a positive representation of the Air Force and increasing retention of current Airmen.
