The annual Combined Federal Campaign charity drive is currently under way at Air Force Global Strike Command, and has been extended to Jan. 14, 2014.

"As of Nov. 21, the command has accomplished 63 percent of its $712K campaign goal by raising $436,709," Senior Master Sgt. Jason Caszatt, the command's CFC organizer, said. "As the MAJCOM representative, I commend each base in the command for their efforts so far during the campaign."

According to the campaign's website, CFC is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with almost 200 CFC campaigns throughout the country and overseas raising millions of dollars each year. Pledges made by federal civilian, postal and military donors the campaign season support eligible nonprofit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.

"Like the Department of Defense, many charitable organizations are facing budgetary uncertainty," Caszatt said. "I would encourage everyone to evaluate their opportunities to give to those less fortunate."
