Global Strike Top Shot

Every Airman has a story, and that's especially true for the 25,000 officers, enlisted personnel and civilians who comprise Air Force Global Strike Command.

Capturing and highlighting snapshots of our Airmen's lives and how they fit into the AFGSC mission is a way the command can highlight the hard work people put into the mission every day.

As a way to help our Airmen share their stories and personal experiences, AFGSC will host a weekly photography competition.

Each week a new photo album on Facebook will highlight submissions from around the command, competing for the title of Top Shot. The photo with the most interaction (likes, comments and shares), will earn the title of "Top Shot."

How to submit

Photos must be submitted to AFGSC Public Affairs at afgsctopshot@gmail.com. Submissions will be due before 7:30 a.m. each Monday. Keep an eye out for special categories and directions, as some weeks may have submission criteria. All submissions must be in good taste and may not violate security policies to be considered for the competition.

The weekly photo album will be posted at https://www.facebook.com/AirForceGlobalStrikeCommand where anyone can vote on the photo they like best, by liking, commenting on or sharing the photo.

The fine print

The program is open to everyone, but photos must highlight Airmen and AFGSC in some way, so get creative with your stories! Unless otherwise noted, only photos will be accepted, that is, no artwork or graphic illustrations.

Submissions must include full name and the base associated with the photo. In addition to a description of the photo, military and members government employees are asked to provide their pay grade, squadron (or unit) and job title. Retired members please annotate your prior service.

Winning photos will be posted on the official AFGSC website (http://www.afgsc.af.mil/), blog (http://globalstrike.dodlive.mil/), Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/AirForceGlobalStrikeCommand), Twitter (https://twitter.com/AFGlobalStrike), and Instagram (@AFGlobalStrike)
