Lt. Gen. Stephen Wilson, commander of Air Force Global Strike Command, visited the 2nd Bomb Wing Dec. 15 to 17 to meet the Airmen who accomplish the mission of the Mighty Deuce.

During the two-day tour, Airmen spoke to Wilson about their mission and how they contribute to the overall readiness of the 2nd BW. The Airmen were also given a chance to ask the general questions.

Throughout his visit, Wilson posed the question to Airmen, "Is there anything I can do to make your life better?"

He received responses ranging from new vehicles to additional dining options around base.

"I'm confident '15 will be a good year for us. I think we'll have the same type of year in terms of lots of interest from Congress and other places to make sure we put our money where our mouth is in the nuclear enterprise."

The final morning of the tour began with a breakfast where Wilson reached out to Airmen over a meal.

"The breakfast with Lieutenant General Wilson was very relaxing and informative," said Airman 1st Class Christopher Boutte, 2nd Dental Squadron. "He made it comfortable for us to have a regular breakfast. He was a very modest person with a lot of wisdom."

Senior Airman Taneia Benn, 2nd Medical Group pediatrics technician, briefed Wilson during his visit to the 2nd MDG.

"He cared about what we were saying and he was very personable," she said. "It was a nice thing for him to see what we do and be involved with the Airmen. It was awesome and a great opportunity."
