Kimmell Minot Air Force Base Public Affairs MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- The honorable Shaun Sipma, mayor of Minot, North Dakota, was given a complete tour of a B-52h Stratofortress Feb. 24, 2021 at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota. Additionally, Lt. Colonel Brad Haynes, 5th Operations Support Squadron commander, showed Sipma how to do pre-flight inspections. After a group photo in front of their jet, Sipma, Haynes, and the flight crew took off. “The uptake in information and understanding is astounding as I prepare for a glimpse inside the mission of the 5th Bomb Wing. The training was exceptional with true professionals leading the mission,” said Sipma. Minot AFB often gives incentive flights to strengthen relationships between Team Minot and the community.
