The Air Force Global Strike Command command chief visited F. E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming, last week to meet with Airmen throughout the 90th Missile Wing.

During an all-call Oct. 17 for the Mighty Ninety’s senior non-commissioned officers, Chief Master Sgt. Charles Hoffman, AFGSC command chief, spoke about the AFGSC strategic plan and mission, modernization, resiliency, and quality of life.

Hoffman also passionately spoke about taking care of Airmen.

“Sometimes, life is about tough conversations…and that requires trust. Trust is built in the small moments. You will have tough conversations with people that might make you feel uncomfortable, and that’s okay,” Hoffman said. “You want people to feel like they can come talk to you. Lead in a way that results in authentic conversations.”

Hoffman made several stops during his visit here, including a guard mount with the Security Forces Group, a 90th Force Support Squadron dining facility and ICBM Feeding Operations cooking competition, a meeting with the base first sergeants, a breakfast with junior Airmen and more.

During his visit, Hoffman connected with junior enlisted members over conversation of growth and leadership.

“I get up every day and what drives me is trying to be the chief that Airman 1st Class Hoffman would be proud of,” he said.
