AFGSC mourns, honors eight aircrew lost in B-52 crash

Davis, and AFGSC command chief, U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Shawn M. Aiello, following the crash of an Air Force B-52 Stratofortress at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., on June 15, 2026. The B-52 Stratofortress was carrying eight people, a joint crew of active-duty Airmen, government civilians, and Department of War contractors, on a routine test mission with the 412th Test Wing supporting the Radar Modernization Program when it crashed shortly after take-off at 11:20 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time on June 15, 2026.
