Rangers of the flightline

During the Vietnam War, aerospace ground equipment personnel donned the nickname of Ranger and the acronym DINSTAAR (Danger is no stranger to the AGE ranger) was born. Rangers of the 2nd Maintenance Squadron AGE flight maintain 640 pieces of machinery that are essential to the mission of the B-52H Stratofortress.

AGE ranger: no stranger to danger

Airmen from the 5th Maintenance Squadron aerospace ground equipment section are responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment that supply electricity, hydraulic and air pressure to various aircraft. The AGE Airmen not only perform inspections and troubleshooting, they repair and maintain proper standards for all equipment on base. These Airmen ensure Minot’s B-52H Stratofortress fleet is ready for flight 24/7.
