2022 Air Force Global Strike Command Women’s Leadership Symposium

Air Force Global Strike Command will host the 2022 Women’s Leadership Symposium at Louisiana State University Shreveport campus, April 12 and 13th, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Media is invited to cover the event April 12 and 13 beginning at 8:00 a.m. for the opening remarks by Gen. Anthony Cotton, Air Force Global Strike Command commander. Media will be allowed to listen to part of the keynote address by The Honorable Gina Ortiz-Jones, the Undersecretary of the Air Force, and have the opportunity to interview Brig. Gen. Lisa Craig, Deputy Commander, Air Force Recruiting Service, Dr. Jordan Shapiro, author and senior fellow for the Joan Ganz Cooney Center at Sesame Workshop and Col. Jason Lamb, USAF (Ret).

The AFGSC Women’s Leadership Symposium will be attended by personnel from across the Command’s eight Air Force bases and two numbered Air Forces. It will include keynote speakers, interactive breakout sessions, and panels which will provide Airmen valuable perspectives and leadership approaches.

The symposium will focus on courage, curiosity, and community. The goal is to promote a community of inclusion across Air Force Global Strike Command enabling Strikers to lead as their authentic selves.

The purpose of the Women’s Leadership Symposium is to foster inclusiveness and diversity within the command, in order to attract and retain America’s finest Airmen to continue a legacy of lethality.
