B-52 Stratofortress bomber aircraft from 5th Bomb Wing, Minot, North Dakota, conducted a long range integration flight through Europe connecting with Germany and Romania, March 04, 2022.

The B-52s took off from RAF Fairford and headed to Germany where they exercised alongside U.S. and German Joint Terminal Attack Controllers. This integration consisted of close air support and integration mission training objectives.

The Stratofortreses concluded their training mission by executing CAS training in conjunction with Romania.

“BTF rotations give us a critical opportunity to integrate and train with our allies and partners, especially during this difficult time.” said Gen. Jeff Harrigian, commander of U.S. Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa and NATO’s Allied Air Command. “Training together ensures the defensive power of NATO remains unmatched.”

Training with joint partners, allied nations and other U.S. Air Force units contributes to our ready and postured forces and enables us to build enduring and strategic relationships necessary to confront a broad range of global challenges.

Coverage of BTF deployments will be continuously available on the Defense Visual Information Distribution Service at:https://www.dvidshub.net/feature/bombertaskforceeurope.
