3D printing provides 21st-century capabilities at Dyess AFB

A small B-1B Lancer part fabricated by the 7th Equipment Maintenance Squadron Aircraft Metals Technology section sits next to the laptop that was part of creating it at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. In early 2022, the section received a scanner, a laptop and an application that scans aircraft parts with total accuracy in order to fabricate the parts using new 3D printing technology.
