Airmen Enhancement Course (AEC) - This course is being developed.  It is designed to introduce the first term airmen attending FTAC to authentic and transformational leadership methodology, Striker Culture, diversity and inclusion, and to increase their self-awareness and social responsibilities.

The Leadership Enhancement Course (LEC) is designed for 40-50 AFGSC officers, enlisted and civilians in supervisory/management roles.  The specific target audience includes: CGOs or other officers entering into their first official leadership position, E-5s thru E-7s, and GS-09 Thru GS-12.  Each Wing provides the names of 40 course nominees IAW the target audience.  The goal is to have a diverse group of attendees with regard to AFSC, experience, and component.  Names are solicited through TMT prior to each class date.  The LEC operates over a two-day period from 0800 – 1700, facilitated in seven phases.  The course content is derived from Landmark Worldwide, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and Emotional Quotient (EQ) curriculum with a focus on the Air Force Core Values with additional topics covering Authenticity, Trust, Resiliency, and Emotional Intelligence.  LEC is intended to challenge the way participants view themselves and the environment they operate within.  Content and core values are facilitated in a manner allowing participants the opportunity for growth of emotional intelligence and a deeper understanding of their own leadership style.  This is accomplished by allowing the students to self-reflect instead of looking outward; by understanding how they work and function at the most fundamental levels of their personality, interact with others and bring out the best version of themselves.

Advanced Leadership Course (ALC) is designed for 40 AFGSC officers, enlisted and civilians in leadership roles.  The specific target audience includes: O-4’s & O-5’s and above, E-7’s and above, and GS-13s and 14s. Each NAF provides the names of 14 course nominees IAW the target audience.  The goal is to have a diverse group of attendees with regard to AFSC, base, experience and component.  Names are solicited through TMT prior to each class date.  The ALC is a three-day period from 0800 – 1700 held on a quarterly basis at Barksdale AFB each year.  The course content is derived from Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation (FIRO) and Emotional Quotient (EQ) curriculum with a focus on emotional intelligence growth of each individual.

AFGSC Squadron Commanders and Spouses Course is a five-day course hosted by AFGSC at Barksdale AFB in Louisiana.  The purpose of this course is to educate newly assigned squadron commanders on AFGSC leadership philosophies and command policies by providing reality-based training and discussion to assist them, as well as their spouses, in attaining mission success all while taking care of our Airmen and their families.  During the course, squadron commanders participate in numerous events to include building a stronger commitment to the profession of arms, developing future relationships and trust, authentic leadership, increasing self-awareness, leading change, and Striker Culture and preparing for the responsibility of command.    The Squadron Commander and Spouse Course is available for active duty, guard, and reserve commanders, civilian leaders, and wing-level Chaplains and Staff Judge Advocates.  AFGSC holds three course each year in the late spring/early summer.
